Biography
He was born on September 1, 1923 in the village of Novoe Uzeyevo, Aksubaevsky district of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, in a peasant family. Tatar. He graduated from the rural seven-year school. In 1939 he graduated from the courses of machine operators. Before the army, he worked as a tractor driver at the Staro-Timoshkinskaya MTS of the Aksubaevsky District.
Member of the Great Patriotic War since 1942. He was wounded several times, in 1944 he was demobilized for wounds, became disabled. He returned to his native village, worked as a military instructor at the Novouzeevsky seven-year school.
Later he moved to the city of Kazan, got a job at the Kazan Vakhitov Fat Factory. He worked at this enterprise for more than half a century. He began with a modest position as a janitor. In 1947 he was transferred to a generator.
Since 1951, he worked as a senior autoclave, then, since 1960, as an apprentice in a hydrogenation workshop. Having mastered to perfection the working specialties, achieved high labor indicators, actively participated in the modernization of production. High responsibility for the assigned work, professionalism, enormous capacity for work earned him great authority and public recognition.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of April 26, 1971, for outstanding achievements in fulfilling the tasks of the five-year plan for the development of the food industry, Salimzyanov Galimzyan Zakirzyanovich was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal "Hammer and Sickle."
Since 1971, he was a hydrogen worker in the same workshop. Having reached retirement age, he did not leave work. Until 1996, he headed the catalyst section.
He did a lot of public work. He was repeatedly elected chairman of the shop committee, and a member of the party’s plant committee, a member of the Central Committee of the trade union of food industry workers, and a deputy of the district council. He was a delegate to the XV Congress of Trade Unions of the USSR
He lived in the city of Kazan. He died on December 19, 2005.
Rewards
He was awarded the Orders of Lenin , World War II degree, the Red Banner of Labor , medals, including the VDNKh silver medal.
