Biography

Born on June 27, 1926 in the village of Karabanovka, Plavsky district of the Tula region . He graduated from 7 classes, vocational school number 9 in the city of Shchekino, Tula region . At the beginning of World War II, he was forced to remain in the occupied territory; by age he had not yet been drafted into the army.

In December 1943 he was drafted into the Red Army by the Plavsky military enlistment office. Since June 1944, he fought as part of the 83rd Guards Rifle Regiment of the 27th Guards Rifle Division on the 1st Belorussian Front . In July 1944, for the difference in boosting the Western Bug River, Corporal Boriskin received the first military award - the medal “For Courage”.

On August 1, 1944, Corporal Boriskin, commanding the soldiers, crossed the Vistula River near the city of Demblin, broke into the enemy’s position, crushed 3 firing points, captured an enemy cannon, and destroyed many opponents. Participated in subsequent battles to master the Magnushevsky bridgehead. He was presented for awarding the Order of the Red Star , but the status of the award by the division commander was changed. A few days later, in the battles for the expansion of the bridgehead, Boriskin again excelled.

On August 5-11, 1944, near the settlement of Zakshov Guard, Corporal Boriskin was among the first to enter the enemy’s trench with the detachment. In a hand-to-hand battle with five Nazis, he defeated three, and put the rest to flight.

By order in parts of the 27th Guards Rifle Division dated August 18, 1944, Corporal Boriskin Ivan Dmitrievich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.

By order of the troops of the 8th Guards Army of November 12, 1944, Corporal Boriskin Ivan Dmitrievich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.

At the final stage of the war, Sergeant Borsiikn fought already in regimental intelligence. He participated in forcing the Oder River, in one of the battles on the bridgehead, he set fire to a tank with grenades. On the eve of the Berlin operation, on the night of April 14, as part of a reconnaissance group, penetrated the rear of the enemy, revealed its firing points and fortifications. Upon returning to their group, the group was discovered; in the ensuing battle of the guard, Sergeant Borisiki was seriously wounded.

Woke up already in the hospital. As a result of the wound, he became disabled: his leg was amputated and his mobility was limited. In 1946 he returned to his homeland. He worked as a master of tailoring men's clothing in the Plavsky artel of invalids.

In October 1947, the military commissar of the Plavsky district of the Tula region was presented for awarding the Order of the Patriotic War of the 2nd degree. The commander of the Moscow Military District changed the status of the award to the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree, in the award list in the line of awards there was a note “not awarded”.

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of November 6, 1947, Sergeant Boriskin Ivan Dmitrievich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.

A few years later, the error in the awards was corrected.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated March 31, 1956, Boris Dmitrievich Borisiskin was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree by way of re-award. He became the full holder of the Order of Glory.

He lived in the city of Plavsk. He died on August 28, 1975.

He was awarded the Orders of Glory of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd degrees, medals, including the medal "For Courage".
