Nikolay Yakovlevich Degtyaryov (May 20, 1927, Mariupol , Ukrainian SSR , USSR - December 15, 1995, Donetsk , Ukraine ) is a Soviet footballer and defender, best known for playing for Shakhtar Stalino .

Biography
Degtyarev was born in Mariupol , where he began his football career, his first club was the local "Steel". In 1947, he moved to another Mariupol club, Dzerzhinets, where he spent three seasons. In 1950, Degtyarev moved to the Stalinist "Miner", with whom he debuted in the highest league of the USSR and where he spent his entire future career. The following year, he was on the list of 33 best football players of the season in the USSR . A year later, Shakhtar took the penultimate place in the championship and was demoted in class. In the second division, Degtyaryov played for two years, and in 1955, Shakhtar returned to the elite. After this season, the football player finished his career. In total, he spent 131 matches in the league for Shakhtar and another 21 matches in the cup .
Degtyarev died on December 15, 1995 in Donetsk .
