Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Muhammad as-Sanjaji , known as Ibn Adjurrum ( Arabic. ابن آجروم ; , - , ) is an Arab Moroccan grammar and jurist, author of the fundamental work on the Arabic grammar of Al-Mukaddim al-Ajurrumiyya fi Mabadi Ilm al-Arabiya ( Arabic. المقدمة الآجُرُّومية في مبادئ علم العربية ), which is usually simply referred to as al- Ajurrumıми . The work was published in various languages a total of 12 times.

Biography
His full name is Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Muhammad ibn Daud ibn Ajurrum al-Sanjaji. Little is known about his life: in Arabic sources it is indicated that he was born in Fez , through Cairo he made a pilgrimage (hajj) to Mecca, in Cairo he was a student of the Andalusian grammar Abu Hayyan ibn Muhammad Yusuf al-Garnati, and later for many years he lived in Mecca, where he began to write his main work. Returning to Fez, he began organizing instruction in Arabic grammar at mosques in Al-Andalus (Spain), which he did until his death. According to some, he died in Fez, according to others - he was only buried there. In addition to grammar, he was also engaged in other sciences, the Quran knew well.
He allegedly came from the Berber tribal union of Sanjaji and belonged to a Kufi grammar school. His composition, which was highly respected by subsequent Arabic grammars, has been known in Europe since the sixteenth century; it was published in Rome, Paris, London and Munich and has been translated including into Latin, French, English and German.
