Oxford (prior to the purchase of Tankerville from the English Tankerfield ) is a sailing battleship of the Russian Baltic Fleet.

Ship Description
A sailing battleship of rank 4 , the length of the vessel, according to various sources, ranged from 34.7 to 34.75 meters, breadth from 9.1 to 9.15 meters, and draft from 4.2 to 4.27 meters. The armament of the vessel was 50 guns, including 12-pound, 9-pound, 6-pound and 3-pound, and the crew consisted of 350 people [1] [2] .
Service History
The tankerville ship was bought by F. Saltykov in 1712 in England and, under the name Oxford, became part of the Baltic Fleet of Russia. On June 1 ( 12 ), 1713 , the ship arrived at Revel [1] [2] .
He took part in the Northern War . In 1713 and 1714 he went on cruising voyages to the Gulf of Finland as part of the fleet. In October 1715 he arrived in London as part of the detachment of captain-commander P.P. Bredal with the aim of escorting ships purchased for the needs of the Baltic Fleet. However, due to poor condition and dilapidated housing was abandoned in London, where in 1717 it was sold [1] [2] .
