Biography

In 1967 he graduated from the Leningrad Academic Choreographic School named after A. Ya. Vaganova. In the same year he was accepted as a leading ballet soloist in the troupe of the Kyrgyz National Opera and Ballet Theater named after A.Maldybaev. He performed leading roles in the classic performances of Swan Lake, Giselle, Chopiniana, The Nutcracker and in modern productions of Carmen Suite, Vain Precaution, and Bakhchisarai Fountain.

Since 1972 he has been engaged in choreography. Among the productions in the Kyrgyz Opera and Ballet Theater: “Carmen Suite” by Bizet-Shchedrin, “Swan Lake” by P. Tchaikovsky, “White Steamboat” and “Moan of the String” by E. Zhumabaev, as well as choreographic paintings “The First Teacher” by S. Poluektov , "In the camp of Manas" K. Moldobasanova and others.

Since 1982 - artistic director and chief choreographer of the dance ensemble "Ak Maral". The most famous dance productions: “In the camp of Manas”, “Ak kuu”, “Min kyyal”, “Besh yrgai”, “Pakhtachylar biyi”, “Ak tamak, kok tamak”, “Mairam shany”, as well as Kazakh, Turkmen, Jewish, Indian, gypsy and many other dances.

On his initiative, the team was named after its founder, N. Tugelov.

Awards and titles

People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic, winner of the Toktogul State Prize, awarded the Dunk Medal.
