Biography
Born in 1932. Russian.
In 1951 he graduated from a vocational school. In the same year, he came to work at the Nizhny Tagil Iron and Steel Works, where he went from a steelworker at hand to a highly qualified steelworker. Achieved high performance in labor, was a drummer of communist labor.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of December 29, 1973, for his shown labor prowess and achievement of outstanding success in fulfilling the socialist obligations assumed for 1973, Ipatov Viktor Ivanovich was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal "Hammer and Sickle."
Member of the CPSU since 1958. He was elected a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the 8th convocation, a deputy of the city council of people's deputies of workers, a member of the party committee of the plant, the city committee of the CPSU and the Sverdlovsk regional committee of the party, and a member of the Soviet Peace Committee.
He lived in the city of Nizhny Tagil. He died in 1997. He was buried in Nizhny Tagil at the Central Cemetery.
He was awarded the Orders of Lenin , the October Revolution , and medals. Honorary Metallurgist. Honorary Citizen of Nizhny Tagil.
