Syshuy ( Chinese ex. 泗水 , pinyin : Sìshuǐ ) is a county in the Jining City District of Shandong Province ( PRC ). The county is named along the Syshui River.

History
Under the Western Han Empire, Bianxian County (卞 县) was established here. Under the Sui Empire, in 591, it was renamed Syshui.
In 1950, the Taiyang Special Region (泰安 专区) was formed, and Syshui County became part of it. In 1956, the county was transferred to the Jining Special District (济宁 专区). In 1967, the Jining Special District was renamed the Jining District (济宁 地区). On August 30, 1983, by a resolution of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, Jining District was transformed into the Jining District.
