The Symean Metropolis ( Greek Μητρόπολη Σύμης ) is the diocese of the Constantinople Orthodox Church on the islands of Symi , Tilos , Halki and Kastelorizo [1] (as part of the Dodecanese archipelago in Greece ).

Content
History
Metropolitan Hermann (Anastasiadis) elected on February 5, 1924, was not allowed to the island by the Italian occupation authorities [2] .
The Metropolis was restored in 2004 by the unanimous decision of the Holy Synod of the Patriarchate of Constantinople [3] .
The eparchy includes 18 parishes, more than 200 chapels and 5 monasteries, the most famous of which is the monastery , dedicated to Michael the Archangel , located on the southern coast of the island.
