Biography

Spiridonov was born on September 25, 1939 in Tula , where he began to play football in the local youth sports school of the local Metallurg, the predecessor of Arsenal . In 1957 he was transferred to the first team, for which he spent three seasons, where representatives of the Moscow “ Locomotive ” noticed him. In the second season, Spiridonov was included in the list of 33 best players of the season in the USSR as a member of the “railroad”, although he scored relatively few for the striker — 2-3 goals per season — only in the last season he scored 8 goals. In 1964, he moved to SKA Odessa and helped the club climb to the big leagues , where he spent two more seasons with the team. Then Spiridonov alternately played for Dynamo Bryansk and his native Tula Metallurg. Spiridonov completed his career in 1970, playing alternately for Dynamo Vologda and Torpedo Vladimir .
