Biography
Born on March 1, 1917 in the village of Golenyok, Ostashkovsky District, Tver Region . He graduated from grade 4. The Yakovlev family had several sons, at school, so that they would be distinguished, they were given everyone nicknames, which later became surnames. So Yakovlev became Burgan. From an early age he worked as a shepherd on a collective farm, then worked at a network knitting factory in the city of Ostashkov.
In October 1939, he was drafted into the Red Army by the Ostashkovsky district military enlistment office. He served in the artillery regiment as a riding, then commander of the traction department. He independently mastered other artillery specialties - loader, gunner. On June 19, the part in which Burghansky served was transferred to the city of Libau. Member of the Great Patriotic War from the first days. With a battery he left the encirclement, retreated to the east with fights - Polotsk, Nevel, Velikiye Luki. In one of the battles, an enemy plane shot down with buckshot, as an army newspaper wrote about. Near Tikhvin, in repelling a tank attack, Sergeant Burgansky was wounded.
After the hospital in December 1941 he was sent to another unit - the 147th Infantry Division. As part of the artillery regiment of this division, he marched until the end of the war. He took part in the hardest battles near Rzhev, direct calculation of Burgansky knocked out three tanks and destroyed several machine gun points. In this battle he was wounded, awarded the Order of the Red Star .
In 1943, already on the Southern Front, the gunner of Burganskiy earned the second award - the Order of the Patriotic War of the 2nd degree. On February 22, 1944, in a battle on the northern outskirts of the city of Krivoy Rog, under fire from an enemy of the guard, senior sergeant Burgansky with a well-aimed fire destroyed an anti-aircraft gun, 2 machine-gun points, 3 carts with property, and more than 10 enemy soldiers. By order of the commander of the 20th Guards Rifle Division dated March 6, 1944, Senior Sergeant Burgansky Alexei Mikhailovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.
On July 20-26, 1944, during the breakthrough of the enemy’s defense near the village of Sarata, Rezet Guards, the senior sergeant Burgansky, along with the direct fire, crushed 3 machine gun points, set fire to an armored car, knocked out 2 wagons, and hit the enemy platoon. By order of the October 31, 1944 Guard, Senior Sergeant Aleksandr Mikhailovich Burgansky was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.
On December 1-9, 1944, in the battles west of the city of Pecs Guard, Senior Sergeant Burgansky, commanding the calculation, shot down a tank, 2 armored personnel carriers from an open position, covered 2 machine gun points, 10 carts with property, and exterminated many enemy soldiers and officers. By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 24, 1945, for the courage, bravery and fearlessness shown in battles with enemy invaders, Junior Sergeant Alexei Mikhailovich Burgansky was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree. He became the full holder of the Order of Glory.
In June 1945, he took part in the Victory Parade on Red Square in Moscow . In 1945, the foreman Burgansky was demobilized. He lived in the city of Balakhna, Gorky region. He worked as a train compiler, a foreman in a cardboard factory. He died on October 14, 1984. He was buried in the Pyrsky cemetery of the city of Balakhna .
He was awarded the orders of World War 2 degree, Red Star , Glory 3 degrees, medals. In the city of Balakhna, a memorial plaque was erected on the house in which Burgan lived.
