Dörte Thümmler ( German: Dörte Thümmler ; born October 29, 1971 , East Berlin , East Germany ) is an East German gymnast , bronze medalist of the Olympic Games in the team championship ( 1988 ) [1] . World champion on uneven bars and bronze medalist in the team championship ( 1987 ). Bronze medalist of the European Championship on parallel bars ( 1987 ). After the 1988 Olympics, she was awarded the Order of Merit to the Fatherland, 3rd degree [2] .
