This lane was created in the 1940s during the construction of the quarter between Krasny Zory Boulevard , Sedov, Shelgunov and Kibalchich Streets. Previously, the Belevsky Field was located here.

There used to be a Belevsky Lane in the Nevsky District, but in a different place. It took place in the area of the demolished River Station from the Neva to Belevsky Field (Karl Belle rented its territory in the middle of the 19th century , hence the name). The name has been known since 1903 , and until 1913 it was not an alley, but an avenue. In 1975, Belevsky Lane was abolished. However, on July 7, 1999, its name was restored [1] . True, not for long, and then it was again abolished. However, on some maps, including Yandex.Maps [2] , it is still depicted - the so-called intra-quarter drive along house 5a along Shelgunov Street.

On August 12, 2014, the name Belevsky Lane was assigned to the lane from Sedov to Kibalchich [3] . Thus, the toponymic commission of St. Petersburg decided to restore the lost name.

In 2013, several buildings that were located in Belevsky Lane [4] [5] were sold from city auction. After the construction is completed, new ones will be built in their place, and an address will be assigned to them along Belevsky Lane [6] .
