Biography

Born in 1903 in the village of Anisovo Gorodishche (now Kirovsky District, Kaluga Region ). He graduated from grade 4. He was the chairman of the collective farm, in 1934-1941 he worked at construction sites.

In July 1941 he was drafted into the Red Army by the Kirov District Military Commissariat. At the front since September 1941. He fought in artillery. Member of the CPSU since 1943. By the spring of 1944, Sergeant Egorov commanded the calculation of the 76-mm guns of the 849th artillery regiment of the 294th rifle division.

On April 5-7, 1944, in battles near the settlement of Bakhna, the calculation under the command of Sergeant Egorov, when counterattacking was destroyed, destroyed and scattered enemy soldiers and officers near the company, and suppressed a heavy machine gun. By order of May 8, 1944, Sergeant Egorov Tikhon Andreyevich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.

On August 20-22, 1944, during a breakthrough of the enemy’s defense north of the city of Iasi, Sergeant Egorov, with the calculation of fire from the gun, put down a machine gun and scattered it until the infantry platoon. In street battles in the city of Iasi disabled over 10 enemy soldiers. On August 27-28, 15 km southeast of the city of Hushi, along with the calculation, it struck and scattered many enemy soldiers and officers. By order of September 29, 1944, Senior Sergeant Egorov Tikhon Andreyevich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.

On January 12, 1945, 15 km northwest of the city of Szydlow, Sergeant Egorov, with a calculation, destroyed 3 machine gun points and more than 10 opponents, and crushed a mortar battery. On January 13-14, during the assault on a strong point near the city of Khmelnik, 6 machine guns, two 37-mm guns and an 82-mm mortar were hit. On January 24, 7 km southeast of the village of Els, direct fire destroyed 2 machine guns and more than 10 opponents.

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of April 10, 1945, for the exemplary performance of command assignments in battles with invaders, Senior Sergeant Egorov Tikhon Andreyevich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree. He became the full holder of the Order of Glory.

The artilleryman Egorov did not manage to get a high award. In one of the battles in April 1945, he went missing [1] .

He was awarded the Order of Glory of 3 degrees, a medal.
