Biography

Born June 22, 1911 in the village of Lunga (now - Ardatovsky district of the Republic of Mordovia ) in a peasant family. Mordvin- Erzya [1] . From the age of 12 he began his career.

In 1928-1933 he worked as a student of a plumber, then by profession in the construction of residential buildings for peat mining in the Teykovsky district of the Ivanovo region .

In 1933 he returned to his homeland. He worked as a plumber at the Mordovstroy Trust. During the construction of the House of Soviets, a republican hospital, a pedagogical institute, and three secondary schools, he laid the first meters of water pipes and sewers.

In 1942 he was drafted into the Red Army . Member of World War II . In 1944, in the battles of Vitebsk, he was seriously wounded. After the hospital, he was discharged for health reasons. In 1945 he returned to the city of Saransk.

He again came to work in the trust "Mordovstroy", became a plumber foreman. Member of the CPSU since 1953. During the period from 1945 to 1953, the Barinov brigade participated in the construction of housing on 35 thousand m², in the delivery of the drama theater, several schools and other social and cultural facilities of the capital of Mordovia .

Over the years of the seven-year plan, the Barinov brigade took an active part in the commissioning of more than 100 thousand m² of housing, a pioneer camp, the regional tuberculosis hospital, schools and a number of other facilities. The team completed the seven-year plan in 6 years and 1 month. The team led by him always complied with production standards by 125-130% with good and excellent quality.

In his work, Barinov used advanced methods for installing plumbing equipment. He additionally mastered the specialties of electric welder, gas welder, and welder. He skillfully passed on his experience to the workers of the brigade, and trained about 500 people as a plumber.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of August 11, 1966 "for outstanding achievements in fulfilling the tasks of the seven-year plan for capital construction," Barin Grigory Sergeyevich was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal "Hammer and Sickle."

For more than 25 years, he led the team of plumbers in the construction departments of the Mordovpromzhilstroy trust, and later - Saranskzhilstroy.

He was elected to the Supreme Council of the Mordovian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.

He lived in the city of Saransk. He died on May 27, 1981.

He was awarded the Order of Lenin , medals. "Honored Builder of the RSFSR"
