Content
Story
Famous swordsman Li Xunhuan lost everyone he loved. After a rival swordsman saved his life, Lee's pride forces him to leave his beloved woman, and she marries his savior. Lee now has a normal life. He travels with his faithful assistant, drinking alcohol. On one of these trips, he meets an experienced swordsman A Fei, after which Lee finds himself embroiled in a fight for the "golden chain mail", a protective vest that can withstand any blow.
As soon as he discovers that almost everyone he meets has his own hidden plan, Lee realizes that And Fay is the only person you can trust. Such friendship passes a test of strength, when hired killers begin to hunt the "Sentimental Swordsman", and he himself is accused of a series of crimes that he did not commit. All evidence points to a legendary thug nicknamed the Plum Flower, whom Lee had already tried to catch ten years ago.

Reviews
The film adaptation of the novel Gu Luna received favorable reviews from film critics. Boris Khokhlov from the HKCinema website estimates the picture at 4 stars out of 5 [2] :
| They [the fights] are scattered throughout the picture very generously, but they, however, do not last very long, preventing the actors from unfolding to their full potential in them. This is perhaps the only comment that I can make this film, but otherwise it is simply magnificent: a strong script, professional directing and beautiful scenery. |
Andrew Saroch with Far East Films gives the film the same rating, concluding [3] :
| Chu Yuan is again diligent in his vision of the visual atmosphere of the fighting world, while he also receives an excellent game from his cast. |
