Biography
Alexander Antonov was born on October 15, 1954 in Vilnius .
In 1977 he graduated from the Obninsk branch of the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (currently the Obninsk Institute of Atomic Energy ) with a degree in Automated Control Systems (ACS) and the same specialty and was left to work at the department. In 1979-1982 he studied in the graduate school of the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (MEPI) in the specialty of ACS. In 1985 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of technical sciences on the subject “Development and research of combined methods for assessing the reliability characteristics of elements of nuclear power plants” at MEPhI. In 1986 he was awarded the academic title of assistant professor in the department "Automated Control Systems".
In 1995, he defended a dissertation at the Moscow Power Engineering Institute for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences on the topic “Development of methodological issues of statistical estimation of reliability and optimization of maintenance of nuclear power facilities under limited information”, specialty 05.14.03 - nuclear power plants. In 1997, the academic title of professor in the department of automated control systems was awarded.
Since 2000 - Dean of the Faculty of Cybernetics of the Obninsk Institute of Atomic Energy (IEP).
The main scientific work is on the topic “Theoretical Foundations of Reliability Analysis and Prediction of Equipment Life of Nuclear Power Plants. Safety and risk analysis from their operation. ”
Published over 180 scientific papers.
Member of the IATA Scientific Council, member of the Dissertation Council of Surgut State University .
He reads lecture courses: “System Analysis”, “Planning of an Experiment”, “Mathematical Models of ASNI”, “Designing ASIOI”, “Parametric Methods of Processing Experimental Information”.
Among the students - 10 candidates of science.
