Biography

Born on February 6, 1918 in a village of Yablonovo, Puchezhsky district, Ivanovo region, in a peasant family. In December 1937 he graduated from the school of technicians of peatmasters. From January 1938 he worked as a peat technician in the Sokolsky District Land Department. Since May 1939 - an agronomist of collective farms of the Yablonovsky district of the Puchezhsky district.

Member of World War II . [1] Member of the CPSU (B0 / CPSU from 1945. From 1945 to 1950, A. F. Papanov worked as an agronomist at the Yablonovskiy Village Council.

In 1950, he was elected chairman of the new collective farm "Freedom", formed by combining 12 small farms with a central estate in the village of Letnevo. The collective farm was gradually going uphill. In March 1960, as a result of another enlargement, it was merged with the neighboring Victory collective farm. The chairman of the new collective farm, called “Victory”, was A.F. Papanov, who moved to the village of Yablonovo.

The peak in the history of the economy was the ninth five-year period. Over the years of the five-year plan, labor productivity in the economy increased by 67 percent, grain production - by 61, feed - by 28, milk yield per cow - by 22, gain in fattening - by 27, gross grain production - by half, milk sales to the state - by 39 percent meat - by 32. All livestock industries are profitable, there is not a single unprofitable one. The collective farm had no debts and never took loans. High results were obtained due to the competent organization of labor, high-performance use of technology. In 1973, the collective farm’s income amounted to 1217 thousand rubles.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the USSR of December 23, 1976 “for outstanding achievements in the All-Union Socialist Competition, manifested labor prowess in fulfilling plans and socialist obligations to increase the production and sale of grain and other agricultural products to the state in 1976,” Papanov Alexei Fedorovich was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor awarded in with the presentation of the Order of Lenin and the gold medal "Hammer and Sickle."

In 1979 he retired. He lived in the native village of Yablonovo. Died June 18, 2001. He was buried in the cemetery of the village of Sёgot in the Puchezhsky district.

He was awarded two Orders of Lenin , two Orders of the Red Banner of Labor , the Order of the October Revolution , World War II degree, medals, including "For the Defense of Leningrad."
