Biography
He was born on October 26, 1904 in the village of Kozhanovka (now - Chomutovsky district, Kursk region ). He graduated from grade 4. He worked on a collective farm, and since 1926, a miner in the mines of Donbass.
In 1941 he was drafted into the Red Army . In the battles of World War II from September of the same year. He fought in combat engineer units near Moscow and Voronezh, and in the spring of 1943 - as part of the 28th separate guard engineer battalion of the 25th guards rifle division. On February 5, 1944, in the area of the village of Novomirgorod, tanks of the 14th Panzer Division of the enemy broke through to the surrounded Korsun-Shevchenko group.
