Biography
Igor Zasorin was born on October 7, 1929 .
From 1954 until the end of his life he worked at the Physics and Energy Institute (IPPE) in Obninsk . Since 1972 - head of the scientific sector, since 1979 - deputy director of the IPPE for scientific work.
In 1970 he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences . In 1977 he was awarded the title of professor .
Major works in the field of plasma chemistry . Under the leadership and with the direct participation of Zasorin, for the first time in the world, the problem of technology for ensuring the stability of the chemical composition of cesium plasma of the TOPAZ nuclear power complex was comprehensively solved, the latest technologies for the production of EGCs for thermionic converter and fuel elements for nuclear reactors ( BiATEC , BAES , BN-350 ) were developed .
He was engaged in the study of the physicochemical processes of corrosion of structural materials in metal framing, the diffusion and compatibility of fuel elements, the physicochemical properties of materials and their radiation resistance.
