Biography
Born December 25, 1932 in the village of Lipsk, Lyakhovichi district, Brest region in a peasant family. Byelorussian. Here he grew up, survived the occupation, graduated from high school.
In 1952 he was drafted into the Soviet Army. He served in the construction troops in the Far East, in the village of Krasnorechensky Tetyukhinsky, Dalnegorsky district of Primorsky Krai .
After serving in the army, he remained to live and work in Krasnorechenskoye. In 1955 he was appointed foreman of the finishers. In 1957 he was transferred from Krasnorechensky to the village of Tetyukhe.
The team led by K. A. Gotovchits high quality work, has earned the glory of one of the best in the area. In 1958, he was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor for the successes achieved in the construction and development of industrial building materials in the Tetyukhinsky district.
From 1959 to 1965 more than 15 industrial facilities, as well as social and cultural facilities, housing, were commissioned in the district; the team of K. A. Gotovchits worked on many of them. In 1961, Konstantin was nominated as a candidate for deputy of the Primorsky Regional Council.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 9, 1966, for special merit in the development of the national economy, science and culture of the Primorsky Territory, Gotovchitsa Konstantin Adamovich was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Hammer and Sickle Medal.
K. A. Gotovchits worked in the Dalmetallurgstroy trust for over 40 years. In 1982, for his great personal contribution to the development of the region’s economy and active public work, he was awarded the title “Honorary Citizen of the Dalnegorsky District”.
He lived in the city of Dalnegorsk. He died on October 8, 2002.
He was awarded the orders of Lenin , the Red Banner of Labor , and medals.
