Cameron David Bairstow ( born December 7, 1990 in Brisbane , Queensland , Australia ) is an Australian professional basketball player who has recently played for the Chicago Bulls National Basketball Association and the Australian national team . In the student league, the NCAA represented the University of New Mexico . He plays in the positions of a heavy forward and center .

Content
The early years
Cameron was born and raised in Brisbane , Queensland , Australia. He studied at the grammar school of the Anglican Church, which he graduated in 2008 [1] . His parents, Ian and Penny: a veterinarian and a school teacher by profession, trained young Cameron for several years [2] . Cameron is the third child in a family of seven children. He has four brothers and two sisters. His brother and sister also play basketball in the USA , brother Jared stands for the University of Oklahoma, and sister Stephanie plays on the team at the University of Utah .
Youth
Before joining the Australian Institute of Sports (AIS) in Canberra, Bearstow managed to play for the teams South West Pirates and Brisbane Capitals [3] . For AIS, he spent one season playing in the Southeast Australian Basketball League (SEABL), and in 2010 he was included in the team that visited Qatar [4] . He was also present on the Queensland team, which won the Australian National Championship under the age of 20 in 2009 and the Australian national team under the age of 19, which won the FIBA Oceania title in Saipan [5] .
Professional career
Chicago Bulls (2014–2016)
On June 26, 2014, Bearstow was selected for the 2014 NBA Draft under a total number 49 by the Chicago Bulls Club [6] [7] . In the summer, he took part in the Bulls in the NBA Summer League , where he played with his former university teammates Snell and Williams [8] . On July 21, 2014, the Bulls announced that they had signed a three-year contract with Bearstow, one and a half years of which are guaranteed [9] [10] . On October 29, Cameron made his NBA debut after playing for three minutes in a match against the New York Knicks , for which he managed to make one shot on the ring. November 21, he scored the first points in the NBA, having realized one of two free throws [11] .
On June 17, 2016, Bearstow was traded to the Detroit Pistons , in return for the Bulls they received Spencer Dinwiddy [12] . However, on July 10, the Pistons expelled him from their composition [13] .
