Biography
Luke German was born on May 14, 1799. He was educated in the 2nd Cadet Corps, in the 5th company, from which the conductors for the Engineering Service were issued.
In 1822 he was appointed teacher of mathematics at the College of Engineering and held this position for 39 years. He also taught mathematics in the First Cadet Corps of the capital of the Russian Empire.
Luka Lukich German died on February 27, 1861 and was buried at the Smolensk Lutheran cemetery in St. Petersburg .
