Gerardo Gabriel Galindo Martinez ( Spanish: Gerardo Gabriel Galindo Martínez ; born May 23, 1978 in Cuernavaca , Mexico ) is a former Mexican footballer known for playing for UNAM Pumas and the Mexican national team .

Content

Club career

Galindo began his career at the UNAM Pumas club. On August 31, 1997, in his match against Atlanta , he made his debut in the Mexican Example . In 2004, Gerardo won Clausura and Apertura, and also won the Mexican Champions Champion trophy . In 2005, he helped Pumas reach the final of the CONCACAF South American Cup and Champions League . On March 6, 2005, in a duel against Atlas , he scored his first goal for UNAM Pumas.

In 2006, Galindo moved to Necaxa . The first seasons he left in the starting lineup, but then lost his place at the base and on loan he played for Monterrey and Tijuana . As part of Monterrey in 2009, Gerardo became the champion of Mexico for the third time. At the end of 2011, he ended his contract and at the beginning of 2012 he signed a contract with Estudiantes Tecos . On January 8, in a match against Toluca , he made his debut for a new club [1] . In early 2013, Gerardo became a football player of the Altamira Assenso League team. On January 12, in his match against his former Necaxi club, he made his debut for a new team [2] . Galindo entered the field in just six games and ended his career at the end of the season.

International Career

On June 4, 2000, in a friendly match against the Irish national team, Galindo made his debut in the Mexican national team [3] . In 2005, he was included in the application of the national team to participate in the CONCACAF Gold Cup . At the tournament, Gerardo played in matches against the national teams of Guatemala [4] , Jamaica [5] and Colombia [6] . In a duel against the Guatemalans, he scored a goal.
