Geography

It is located near the Mekshovka river, 16 km from the regional center and 17 km from the Atyashevo railway station.

History

 
Such a beautiful phrase in Erzya language: “Shumbrachi drown, vekveksik great!” (“Hello, beloved village!”) Met at the entrance to the village Sabancheevo.

Anthroponym name: after the first settler of Saban. It was founded at the beginning of the 17th century. First mentioned in the "seasoning books" of Prince Gnevash Norov 1613-1614. According to the census of 1624-1626, there were 6 yards in the village of Sabancheevo on the Cheberchinka river of the Turgakovsky whale of the Verkhosursky camp of Alatyrsky district . According to 1910-1911, there was a church, a parish school (1886), and a public school of the first level (1888) in Sabancheev of Paraneyevsky volost. In 1928, agricultural fields “Polyana”, “Ivanovka” (later the “Tractor” collective farm) were created. M. Gorky, “Work Team”, “The Way of Ilyich”, in 1951 - the enlarged collective farm “The Way of Ilyich”, since 1997 - the agricultural production complex “Sabancheevsky”.

Description

In the modern village there is a secondary school with a historical and ethnographic museum, a library, a kindergarten, a cultural center, a first-aid post, and shops. In the village there is a burial ground of Mordva-Erzi from the 17th to the 18th centuries. (in 1896, V.N. Polivanov investigated); near the village, the Sabancheevsky treasure was found. Natives of Sabancheev - a participant in the Great Patriotic War, awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree (posthumous), I. A. Gusev, party worker N. P. Ignatiev, teacher I. I. Shabanov, philologist A. G. Borisov, locksmith N I. Semaev, Honored Teacher of the School of the Republic of Moldova M. I. Danilova, Candidate of Chemical Sciences B. V. Suldin. The Sabancheyev rural administration includes the village of Mordovian Dubrovka (563 people; the birthplace of the excellent student of the RSFSR M. I. Uchevatkin, honored worker of agriculture of the MASSR D. A. Obmaykin), pos. Smirnovka (8; homeland of the historian N.V. Zavaryukhin) and Ulyanovka (8 people; homeland of the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Moldova V.P. Bukharkin).
