Biography

Born on February 18, 1924 in the village of Pankovo, Dmitrovsky District, Moscow Region . Member of the CPSU / CPSU since 1943. He graduated from 7 classes and the school of factory training. He worked on a collective farm.

In the Red Army and at the front in World War II from April 1942. He participated in the Battle of Kursk, the liberation of Ukraine, Romania, Hungary , Austria. For the battles near Kharkov, he was awarded the medal "For Courage", for the successful crossing of troops on the Dnieper - the Order of the Red Star .

The commander of the sapper squadron of the 103rd separate sapper battalion, Junior Sergeant Suchkov, with a squad, installed more than three thousand mines in front of the front line of our defense by September 1944, and trained six soldiers in mining techniques.

In August 1944, 15 kilometers north-east of the city of Khirlau Suchkov, along with sappers, made several passes in the minefields of the enemy, repaired the road, thereby contributing to the advancement of rifle units.

By order of the commander of the 53rd Infantry Division of September 10, 1944, Junior Sergeant Suchkov was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.

On October 24, 1944, southwest of the city of Tisaföldvar, while crossing the Tisza River with fighters under enemy fire, 185 boats and officers, 28 boxes of ammunition, 6 mortars, 26 bags of food were transported by boat to the right bank.

On December 12, 1944, by order of the 7th Guards Army, Junior Sergeant Suchkov was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.

In the same military composition, Sergeant Suchkov, at the head of the squad, on the night of March 28, 1945, in a battle for the city of Gyor, transported a company of a rifle regiment to the left bank of the Rab River, and wounded soldiers to the right. When a neighboring boat went down to the bottom in one of the voyages from an enemy shell, Suchkov threw himself into icy water and participated in rescuing the wounded.

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 15, 1946, Sergeant Suchkov Vasily Ignatievich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree for courage, bravery and heroism.

In 1947, Sergeant Major Suchkov was demobilized. He returned to the city of Dmitrov, Moscow region . Since September 1949 he worked as a district commissioner. In 1964 he graduated from the Moscow Special Secondary Police School of the MOOP of the RSFSR. He worked in the Dmitrov Department of the Interior. During his work in the police as an investigator, inspector, senior threat inspector, duty assistant chief of the police department, he searched and detained more than 200 especially dangerous criminals, prevented over 150 crimes and tracked about 100 people who were missing [1] .

For many years of fruitful service in the internal affairs bodies, police major Vasily Ignatievich Suchkov was awarded the highest Soviet award - the Order of Lenin [2] .

Since 1984, police lieutenant colonel Suchkov retired [1] .

He died on November 10, 1996. He was buried in the city of Dmitrov in the cemetery of Red Mountain.
