Biography
Julien Auguste Pelage Briese was born on September 12, 1805 in Lorient , in Brittany [4] .
His first poems: “ Marie ” (1832), “ Primel et Noia ”, “ Les Ternaires” or “La Fleur d'or ” (1841) are beautiful idylls in which he sings his native Brittany [4] .
Julien Auguste Pelage Briese died May 3, 1858 in Montpellier [4] .
The poems Les Bretons (1845) and Histoires poétiques (1854) were awarded a prize by the French Academy . In addition, Breeze translated the prose "Divine Comedy" by Dante (1840).
