Gangbusters (game)

Gangbusters is an RPG board game developed by Rick Krebs and Mark Acres. There are two editions of the game. The first was released by TSR, Inc in 1982 [1] .

The plot of the Gangbusters - crime of the 20s and 30s in America . Actions unfold during the Prohibition in the United States [2] .

History

The basis for the creation of the game was historical figures ( Al Capone ) and numerous films, including the dramatic thriller George W. Hill "The Treasury House" (1930) [3] .

The first edition of the Gagnbusters included a rule book, a city map, a set of chips, and two dice.
In 1990, the second edition of the game was released.

Gameplay

The game takes place in the fictional city of Lakefront City, located off the west coast of Lake Michigan . A detailed description of the city is in the base book for the game.

A selection of abilities, the main characteristics of the hero and his career is carried out with the help of a dice . The participant can choose the career of a Criminal, FBI Agent, Reporter, Police Officer, Private Investigator and Prohibition Agent. The following is a selection of skills. Characters earn experience, which is issued by the “Judge” for certain actions [4] .
