Alushta flag

The flag is a rectangular panel sewn in three parts. The upper left side is blue, the lower right side is yellow. Between them is a red strip, the width of which is 1/4 of the length, passing diagonally from the upper right corner to the lower left corner. At the shaft at a distance of 1/10 of the flag height and 1/10 of the flag length, a stylized image of a white tower over three rows of golden waves is placed.

The height of the whole figure is 1/3 of the height of the flag, and the width is 2/10 of the length, following the reference image of the coat of arms of the city. The ratio of height to its length is 2: 3.

The flag of Alushta was approved by the decision of the Alushta city council of March 19, 2002 No. 25/13 ^[1] .

Flag Change

Alushta City Council, with the support of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea, together with the news portal "New Alushta" held a competition for the best sketch of the Flag of Alushta. The sketch recognized as the best was proposed for approval at the session of the Alushta City Council as the new official Flag of Russian Alushta. ^[2] On May 31, 2015, on the main stage of the celebration of the Day of the city of Alushta, the results of the contest "NEW FLAG OF NEW ALUSHTA" were announced. The author of the best sketch was Marina Fedorova. In the new flag, the diagonal line changed color from red to white, and the lower right of the flag changed color from yellow to red. ^[3]

As the colors of the flag, the colors of the coat of arms of the city of Alushta were adopted.

A tower with walls symbolizes the city .

Blue color indicates beauty, grandeur, fidelity, unity and the sea.

Red color is a symbol of courage, valor and fearlessness. He is also one of the arms of Byzantium founded the city.

Yellow ( gold ) means wealth, justice, generosity and the sun.

White color ( silver ) is a sign of purity and nobility.
