History
It was founded in 1992 [3] in the city of Kustanai, a native of the village of Bolshoy, Vasily Rozinov , a former director of a state farm [2] . Until 2014, it was the largest agricultural holding in the world. [four]
Owners and management
The head of the holding is Vasily Rozinov, one of the richest people in Kazakhstan ($ 360 million as of May 2014) [1] . The composition of the board includes the immediate relatives of the general director [5] .
December 27, 2017 Khodzhanazarov Aidarbek Asanovich was appointed General Director of Ivolga-Holding LLP.
Activities
The main activities of the company are crop production , animal husbandry , sugar production, seed production , processing and storage of grain - the holding owns 31 elevators in Kazakhstan and Russia. The Ivolga Holding land fund is more than 1.5 million hectares, which is 400 thousand more than the largest agricultural holding in the Western Hemisphere - Argentinean El Techar . Despite this, the company's productivity is low [2] . The structure of the group also includes trading houses, sugar factories, enterprises for processing seeds and producing biofuels , building materials and plastic windows, a network of Ivolga gas stations, an airline with a fleet of fifty aircraft. The media component of the company is formed by the Kostanay News newspaper and the Alau TV channel [1] . Agrotechmash LLP, which is part of the holding, is assembling the K-744 tractors of the Kirov plant under the brand name “Kazakhstaniets” [6] [7] .
In March 2016, the Eurasian Development Bank filed a lawsuit against the company to declare it bankrupt . According to the bank, the LLP, having borrowed $ 80 million from the bank, did not pay on time. However, in the end, the holding of the oligarch Vasily Rozinov was not declared bankrupt.
In early 2018, the partnership finally ceased to exist. On its basis, Olzha Agro LLP was created [4]
