A rough onion [2] ( Latin Allium umbilicatum ) is a species of monocotyledonous plants of the genus Onion ( Allium ) of the Amaryllidaceae family ( Amaryllidaceae ). First described by Swiss botanist Pierre Edmond Boissier in 1859 [3] [4] .

Distribution, description
Distributed in Turkmenistan , some provinces of Afghanistan and Iran and in Pakistan ( Baluchistan province) [5] ; in fact, from Balochistan, the species was described [6] .
Tuberous geophyte [7] with a height of 30-40 cm [8] . Herb with upright shoots; leaf location of the next. The leaves are simple, with a smooth edge, placed at the base or in the rosette. Inflorescence - an umbrella. Flowers with six petals. The fruit is a box [2] . Blossoms in May [8] .
