Tim Wellens ( Dutch: Tim Wellens ; born May 10, 1991 in Sint-Truiden , Belgium ) is a Belgian mountain biker and professional road bike racer who has been playing for the Lotto Soudal World Tour team since 2012.

Biography
In his youth, in addition to road cycling, he was involved in mountain biking , becoming in 2008 the champion of Belgium among juniors. He signed his first professional contract in 2012 with Lotto-Belisol , made his debut on the World Tour in Canada at the Grand Prix of Quebec and Montreal . Then he took 10th place in the overall standings of the Beijing Tour .
In 2014, he drove his first Grand Tour - Giro d'Italia , which took 4th place in the mountain classification. In August of that year, he won his first victories in the races of the World Tour , having excelled at the 6th stage and in the general classification of Eneko Tour . In 2015, he took part in the Tour de France , and then defended his title on Eneco Tour .
