Rhododendron 'PMA Tigerstedt' ( Rus. PMA Tiegerstedt ) is a variety of evergreen rhododendrons of hybrid origin.

Rhododendron 'PMA Tigerstedt' is named after Professor Peter MA Tigerstedt, who led the program for the cultivation of rhododendrons and azaleas, held at the University of Helsinki from 1973 to 2000, together with Mustila Arboretum . The variety entered the US and Canadian markets under the name 'Piter Tigerstedt' [1] .

Biological description
In ten years, the plant reaches a height of more than 1.5 meters. The width of the bush is approximately equal to the height. In the shadow of the crown becomes loose, on a bright spot grows into a harmonious-looking, wide and tall bush.
Evergreen leaves , bare, dark green, 120 × 55 mm.
Cream buds. Inflorescences conical, carry 14-18 flowers. Funnel-shaped flowers , about 7 cm in diameter, white, on the top petal there is a large dark purple spot. Petals 6. White stamens [1] [2] [3] .
In culture
