Biography

Born on September 5, 1923 in the village of Asmolovichi, Klimovichi district, Mogilev region . Byelorussian. In the 1930s, the family was repressed and sent to the Urals as special immigrants. They lived in the village of Shordyn, Gaynsky district, Komi-Permyak Autonomous Okrug, Perm Region. After graduating from the Gayn High School in 1941, he entered the Kudymkar Teachers Institute.

In September 1942 he was drafted into the Red Army . During the war he was the battery commander of the 240th mortar regiment of the 4th Guards Tank Army. He participated in the defeat of the German group on the Oryol-Kursk Bulge. Near Lviv was twice wounded. The war ended in Prague. He was awarded many orders and medals.

After the war, continued his studies, graduated from the Molotov Pedagogical Institute. He worked as a teacher of Russian language and literature, head teacher at a secondary school in the working village of Teplaya Gora, Gornozavodsky district of Perm, and head teacher of the school number 8 in Chusova since 1956.

In 1967, he was appointed director of a special school for hard-educated and juvenile offenders in the city of Ocher and led this educational institution for almost 20 years.

In difficult conditions, he proved his talent as a teacher, organizer and educator. Thoughtfully combined the training and work of adolescents, the development of individual technical, sports, artistic talents of the wards. At the initiative of the school workshops were refitted. One of the slogans of the new director was: “We must do serious work, not play it. And if we succeed, they will reckon with us, they will respect us. ” I managed to get several machines and orders from the Torgmash plant, from the machine-building association named after Dzerzhinsky. Using his training system has achieved astounding success. Students of special schools not only worked well, but also studied well, many graduated from high school with a medal, went out in people, and became valuable specialists. About 1300 children attended Sologub school, 92% of graduates successfully continued their studies. The experience of the Ocher special school was recognized as the best in the Soviet Union.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of August 17, 1983, Sologub Georgy Pavlovich was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the awarding of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Hammer and Sickle Medal.

In 1987, G.P. Sologub retired, continuing to work as a teacher in the same school until 1989. Honored teacher of the school of the RSFSR, an excellent student of public education. The author of the books “Awakening of the Personality: Notes by the Director of the Ocher Special School” (Moscow, 1987) and “Every Minute of Life: Notes by the Director of the General Education Special School” (Perm, 1986) - about difficult teenagers, about the Ocher Special School.

He lived in the city of Ocher. In 1995, he was awarded the title "Honorary Citizen of Ocher." He died in 2002.

He was awarded the Orders of Lenin , October Revolution , World War 1 degree, Glory 3 degrees, medals, including "For Courage".
