Biography
Born on August 22, 1910 in the village of Kamennomostskoye, Zaolsky District, Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria . Kabardian. He worked at the state farm.
In the Red Army since 1937. At the front in World War II from June 1941, participated in the defense of Moscow . He fought in the infantry, first a shooter, then a scout. In 1944 he graduated from sniper courses. Musov’s personal account was constantly growing, a divisional newspaper wrote about him.
On August 2, 1944, in battles on the left bank of the Vistula River, guard Musov eliminated 3 enemy snipers, and destroyed 4 opponents when counterattacking. He was wounded, but remained in service until the combat mission.
By order of the Guard on August 28, 1944, Red Army man Musov Menli Fitsovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.
In battles in September 1944, on the left bank of the Vistula River, a sniper of the same regiment of guard, Corporal Musov, struck up to 20 enemy soldiers.
By order of the Guard on October 24, 1944, Corporal Musov Menli Fitsovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.
In January 1945, during the liberation of the cities of Zvolen and Radom and in subsequent battles, Musov destroyed 22 Nazis from a sniper rifle and captured 12 enemy soldiers. The war ended on the river Elbe. According to some sources, by May 1945 he had 49 enemy soldiers and officers destroyed
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the USSR of May 31, 1945, for Corporal courage, bravery and heroism, guard, Corporal Musov Menli Fitsovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree. He became the full holder of the Order of Glory.
In 1945, the Guard Junior Sergeant Musov was demobilized. He returned to his homeland. He lived in his native village. He began to engage in a business familiar to him from childhood - sheep husbandry. And soon they started talking about him as a noble sheep breeder. Local newspapers wrote about his experience. The head of the sheep farm worked on the collective farm. Member of the CPSU since 1952. Elected deputy of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic. He died on March 21, 1961.
He was awarded the Order of Glory of 3 degrees, medals.
His name is given to a street in the village of Kamennomostskoye , as well as in the capital of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic of Nalchik and the city of Baksan .
