Biography

Born on August 17, 1917 in the village of Metelki, Tuzhinsky District, Kirov Region . Member of the CPSU / CPSU since 1944. He worked as a planer for the railway depot station In Smidovichsky district of the Khabarovsk Territory .

In the Red Army and at the front since 1942. Being a sniper took part in the battles on the South-Western Front . In March 1943 he was seriously injured. After recovery, he was sent to the 275th Guards anti-tank artillery regiment. In the battles destroyed twelve tanks.

The gunner of the 275th Guards anti-tank artillery regiment of the Guard, Sergeant Gagarinov, on June 18, 1944, showed courage and skill in breaking through the fortified line of the enemy in the area of ​​Targovishche. Fire guns, he destroyed the tractor, anti-tank gun and ammunition depot.

On July 30, 1944, Sergeant Gagarinov was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd class for courage displayed in battles with the enemy Guards.

The calculation of the gun, headed by Gagarinov, on March 27, 1945, crossed over to the left bank of the Oder River and participated in battles to hold the bridgehead. When repelling the enemy’s six counterattacks, he destroyed two tanks, put down two machine-gun points, destroyed more than twenty enemy soldiers and officers. By order of the 5th Shock Army of May 7, 1945, Sergeant Gagarinov was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree by the Guard.

On April 23, 1945, Sergeant Gagarinov, one of the first, overcame the Spree River with the gun and destroyed two firing points, suppressed the anti-aircraft gun.

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated May 15, 1946 for courage, bravery and heroism, Sergeant Gagarinov Alexander Mikhailovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree for guard.

In 1946, Sergeant Major Gagarinov was demobilized. He worked as a planer in the railway depot station Ying. He died on June 23, 1984.
