Sadashivaraya Tuluva

Sadashivarayya (? - 1570) - Maharajahiraj (King of Kings) of the Vijayanagar Empire in 1542–1570.

Biography

Descended from the Tuluva dynasty. The son of the ruler of Krishnadevaraya . Uncle Achyutadevarai did not play any role in state affairs. In 1542, after the death of the latter, thanks to the influential minister Ramaray Aravida , he gained the throne, but remained at the same time the nominal ruler - Ramaray took care of everything. After the death of Ramarai in 1565 during the war with the sultans of Bijapur , Bidar , Golkonda and Ahmednagar, Tirumalaraya Aravida took over the empire, who in 1570 deposed Sadrusharayyu from the throne and killed him.
