Syringa vulgaris 'Aucubaefolia' (Aucubafolia [1] ) is a variegated variety of common lilac . Used in landscaping. It is not widespread. Sport varieties 'President Grevy' . Flowering and structure of bushes similar to the original variety. It differs only in the color of the leaves, which have yellow spots and stripes and resemble aucuba leaves. This leaf color is not a viral disease. Other lilac varieties [1] ( 'Dappled Dawn' , 'Wittbolds Variegated' ) have a similar coloration of the leaves.

Variety Description
Bushes are tall, slightly branched, with thick, light gray shoots.
The leaves are light green with yellow spots and stripes.
The buds are round, pink-purple. The flowers are lilac-bluish with blue, large, semi-double, fragrant. Petals are oval or blunt-pointed, convex-concave.
Inflorescences are large from one to three pairs of narrow-conical, loose, strong panicles up to 25 cm long.
It blooms profusely, on average, but not annually [1] .
Sometimes under the name 'Aucubaefolia' a variety of 'Dappled Dawn ' is sold (its flowers are not semi-double) [3] .
