Biography
Born on November 3, 1922 in the village of Poretskoye, Suzdal District, Vladimir Region ,. He graduated from 7 classes. From 1936 he lived in Moscow . He worked as a turner in the factory.
In 1941 he was drafted into the Red Army . On the front in the Great Patriotic War since March 1942. He fought in artillery. Member of the CPSU / CPSU since 1944.
On August 19, 1944, when expanding the bridgehead on the banks of the Bug River near the villages of Dombruvka and Maryampol Guard, Senior Sergeant Svishchev, with his calculation, fired two machine guns and up to 10 opponents with his gun fire.
By order of August 25, 1944, the senior sergeant Nikolay Alexandrovich Svishchev was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd Degree.
On January 19, 1945, in a battle for the city of Lodz, Svishchev was wounded, but continued to fight and personally destroyed up to 10 infantrymen.
By order of March 7, 1945, the guard senior sergeant Nikolay Alexandrovich Svishchev was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.
Returning to the unit after the hospital, he participated in the final Berlin operation. On April 23, 1945, during the crossing of the river Spree to the south of the city of Erkner, an armored personnel carrier, an observation post, an anti-tank gun and over 20 soldiers were struck from a cannon. He participated in repelling several counter-attacks of the enemy.
In 1945 he was demobilized. Returned to Moscow .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated May 15, 1946, senior sergeant Svischev Nikolai Alexandrovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st Degree for exemplary performance of command assignments in battles with the German-enemy invaders of the Guard. Became a full gentleman of the Order of Glory.
He lived in the hero-city of Moscow . He worked in the southern port. The participant of the anniversary Victory Parades of 1985, 1990, 1995. He died on December 24, 1997. He was buried in Moscow at Kotlyakovsky cemetery.
He was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 1 st degree, Glory 3 degrees, medals.
