Biography

Born on August 8, 1924 in the city of Yuzovka. Ukrainian. He graduated from 7 classes. He worked at a bakery.

In 1943 he was drafted into the Red Army . He graduated from the school of junior commanders. Member of World War II since September 1943. In the battles during the crossing of the Dnieper, he was seriously wounded. He returned to the front a few months later. As part of the 70th Guards Rifle Regiment of the 24th Guards Rifle Division, he participated in battles in East Prussia.

On October 20, 1944, in the area of ​​the Boysnen settlement of the Guard, Sergeant Krivuly was one of the first to burst into the enemy’s trench and put down a machine gun with a grenade, which made it possible for the company to drive the enemy out of the trench and gain a foothold.

By order of the October 31, 1944 Guard, Sergeant Krivuly Vasily Andreyevich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.

On January 18, 1945, in the battle for the settlement of Nestonkemen of the guard, Sergeant Krivulya was the first to attack and burst into the enemy’s trench, using a grenade to destroy a machine gun and 4 opponents, which allowed the company to break through to the outskirts of the village.

By order of the February 25, 1945 Guard Sergeant Krivuly Vasily Andreyevich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.

On April 9, 1945, in a night battle 4 kilometers northwest of the city of Koenigsberg, when an enemy attempted to break out of the encirclement of the guard, Senior Sergeant Kriuvula destroyed a general and 5 soldiers with machine gun fire, and captured 1 officer.

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 29, 1945, for the exemplary execution of command assignments in battles with German-enemy invaders of the guard, senior sergeant Krivuly Vasily Andreyevich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree. He became the full holder of the Order of Glory.

In 1945, the guard, the foreman V.A. Krivul, was demobilized. He returned to his homeland. He lived in the city of Donetsk. He worked as an assistant foreman at a worsted spinning mill, a foreman at the Rutchenkovsky bakery. Member of the CPSU since 1962. Member of the anniversary Victory Parades in 1945 and 1985. He died on May 2, 1987. He was buried in the cemetery of mine number 29 in Donetsk.

He was awarded the orders of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree, Glories of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees, medals.
