Biography

Born on April 7, 1925 in the village of Minkovka, Telman region, Karaganda region of the Republic of Kazakhstan . He graduated from 7 classes. He worked on a collective farm. When the war began, he was only seventeen years old. He worked as a miner, foreman at mine number 8bis in the city of Karaganda. Having "reservation", he repeatedly tried to go to the front.

In the autumn of 1942 he nevertheless escaped, landing at the station on a train with draftees. Such an act could bring to trial, as a deserter from a defense enterprise. And the train instead of the front went east, in Transbaikalia. In Ulan-Ude, in the reserve regiment, while they were figuring out what to do with the newly minted fighter, Morozov became a cadet of the Trans-Baikal Military Infantry School. After six months of study, after an incomplete course without becoming an officer, he was sent to the front line with a marching company.

In the reserve regiment he was enrolled in the 16th Guards Volunteer Cossack Regiment, in mortar crew. With this unit, he traveled along front-line roads until the end of the war, he was also a mortar man, and a machine gunner, and a scout. He received two wounds and shell shock, but always returned to his regiment.

On July 22, 1944, in the battle for the city of Wlodawa of the Guard, the Red Armyman Morozov, loading the mortars, calculated to repulse the enemy’s counterattack, destroying more than 10 enemy soldiers. With their actions, the mortars provided forward advance of the saber squadrons. On July 27, in a battle for the city, Miedzyrzecz put down a heavy machine gun and incapacitated over the manpower department.

By order of the commander of the 4th Guards Cavalry Division of August 16, 1944, the Red Army soldier Fyodor Danilovich Morozov was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.

On January 28-29, 1945, in the battles northwest of the city of Bromberg, the machine gunner of the same mortar battery of the guard, Red Armyman Morozov, when repelling an enemy attack on the position of the mortar battery from a light machine gun, shot down up to 10 enemy soldiers. The next day, in the area of ​​Starsfoort, under heavy machine gun fire, he carried out 3 wounded fighters, a sergeant and an officer from the battlefield and brought them to the medical unit.

By order of the troops of the 1st Belorussian Front of March 23, 1945, the Red Army soldier Fyodor Danilovich Morozov was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.

In the final Berlin operation, Morozov was already a mortar gunner. On April 23, 1945, while crossing the Spree river near the village of Retten, a mortar gunner of the same regiment Morozov, along with fighters of calculation with well-aimed fire, put down 2 machine guns, 1 mortar and covered over 35 enemy soldiers who were ambushed. Under the cover of mortar fire, a saber-mounted squadron crossed the river and occupied a bridgehead on the left bank.

On April 30, when crossing the Haupt-Gross canal east of the settlement of Bredikov, he broke a car with ammunition from a mortar and hit up to 10 enemy soldiers. From personal weapons, he destroyed 5 opponents. He discovered the enemy’s NP, which was then covered by battery fire.

By the end of the war, the guard of Morozov had a downed German aircraft and more than ten enemy vehicles with ammunition, about 10 wounded comrades taken from the battlefield, 16 “languages” captured in reconnaissance raids, including two German non-commissioned officers and a commander battalion.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 15, 1946, for the exemplary performance of command assignments in battles with the German-enemy invaders of the guard, Red Army soldier Fyodor Danilovich Morozov was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree. He became the full holder of the Order of Glory.

After the Victory, he served in military service in Stavropol, neutralized minefields. In 1950, he was demobilized and left for his homeland in Kazakhstan . For two years he worked as deputy director for the administrative part of the Karaganda State Institute. Then he returned to the army for extra urgent. He served in the Stavropol Suvorov School for 12 years as an assistant officer-educator. Then there was a service in the Northern Fleet, in the city of Severomorsk. There Morozov was twice elected as a deputy of the regional Council. When the next contract of the over-conscript ended, he returned to Stavropol, and again concluded a contract. Until 1969 he served in parts of the Stavropol Higher Military Aviation School for pilots and navigators. The foreman left the reserve.

He lived in the city of Stavropol. He conducted a large public work, met with youth, soldiers. He participated in the revival of the Cossacks, was a member of the Council of Elders of the Union of Cossacks of Russia. Honorary Citizen of Stavropol. He died on January 16, 2006. He was buried in the Sazhevoy cemetery of the city of Stavropol.

He was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree, the Order of Glory of 3 degrees, medals.
