Biography

Born on February 7, 1923 in the village of Mikulenki, Rossonsky district, Vitebsk region of Belarus. Byelorussian. He graduated from 7 classes. He worked on a collective farm. During the period of temporary occupation by the enemy troops of the territory of Belarus, Pavel Rubis was a partisan in the Rosson partisan brigade named after Stalin.

In the Red Army since November 1943. In the battles of World War II also from November 1943.

A student of the training company of the 156th Infantry Division Pavel Rubis in the battle for the village of Filipenki, located three dozen kilometers north-west of the city of Vitebsk, on December 26, 1943, exterminated more than ten opponents.

By order of the 156th Infantry Division of December 27, 1943, Rubis Pavel Ivanovich, cadet of the training company, was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree for courage and bravery shown in battles.

The commander of the machine gun company of the company of the 417th rifle regiment, sergeant Pavel Rubis, in the area of ​​the village of Pazoli, located sixteen kilometers south-east of the Latvian city of Jelgava, while crossing the Lielupe river, covering the crossing with machine gun fire, disabled two enemy bullets on 14 September 1944 calculations.

By order of the 43rd Army of November 12, 1944, Sergeant Rubis Pavel Ivanovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree for courage and bravery shown in battles.

When attacking the Klaus-Pusen railway platform located north of the city of Memel, the Lithuanian city of Klaipeda, the machine-gun crew commander Pavel Rubis destroyed 130 opponents and the enemy machine gun along with the crew on 13 January 1945. He was shell-shocked, but did not leave the battlefield, continued to repulse the enemy’s counterattacks until reinforcements arrived.

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 29, 1945, Sergeant Rubis Pavel Ivanovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree, becoming a full holder of the Order of Glory for exemplary performance of command assignments in battles with German-enemy invaders.

In 1947, Petty Officer Rubis P.I. was demobilized. He lived in an urban village of Rossony, Vitebsk region . In 1954 he graduated from the Polotsk College of Agricultural Mechanization. Member of the CPSU since 1975. He worked as a tractor driver at the Rossonsky Forestry. Died April 10, 1996.

He was awarded the orders of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree, Glories of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd degree, medals.
