The ratio of scape length to head width (scape index, SI) = 115–129. The mandibular palpi 5-segmented, lower-labial palpi consists of 3 segments. Antennae 12-segmented with 4–5-segmented mace (in males also 12-segmented), in a close species of Myrmisaraka brevis - from 3 segments. The mandibles are triangular in shape with several teeth on the chewing edge. The eyes are large, located in the mid-side of the head. The stalk between the breast and the abdomen consists of two segments: the petiolus and the postpetiolus (the latter is clearly separated from the abdomen), the sting is developed, the pupae are bare (without cocoon ).
