Biography
Born on November 2, 1909 in the village of Stepanovo [1] (now the Vologda district of the Vologda region ). Graduated from 3 classes. Before World War II, he worked as the head of a bakery at the Obozerskaya station in the Arkhangelsk region .
With the outbreak of war, he was drafted into the Red Army and sent to Arkhangelsk , at the disposal of the commander of the 88th Infantry Division. Initially, he was enrolled in a civilian specialty in a field bakery. At his own request, he was transferred to a private company in a rifle company. Since August 1941, he participated in battles with invaders on the Kesteng direction of the Karelian front .
Private Maslukhin from the first days proved himself to be a brave and hardy soldier, a good and faithful comrade. He was soon transferred to regimental intelligence. Participated in several reconnaissance, captures of "languages" . He independently mastered the mine-demolition business . Member of the CPSU (b) since 1944. In one of the reconnaissance, he was wounded.
After the hospital, he was sent to the 731th Infantry Regiment of the 205th Infantry Division: the unit in which he began his service was transferred to another front. Here he again changed his military specialty, at the suggestion of Senior Sergeant Lev Mihievich, he was transferred to a sapper platoon. As part of this platoon, he went the battle path to Victory.
June 25-27, 1944, north of the village of Kestenga, Corporal Maslukhin made 3 passes in the minefields of the enemy, took 67 minutes. By order of July 14, 1944, Corporal Maslukhin Vitaliy Alekseevich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.
On September 19, 1944, in a battle south-west of the village of Savnorog, under heavy artillery fire, made 2 passes in the enemy’s minefields, providing an attack on the rifle units. By order of October 22, 1944, Corporal Maslukhin Vitaliy Alekseevich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.
In November 1944, after the victorious completion of hostilities in the Arctic, the division was transferred to the 2nd Belorussian Front and took part in the defeat of the enemy in Eastern Pomerania.
In March 1945, in the battles for the city of Gdynia, Sergeant Maslukhin and his comrade penetrated the rear of the enemy, which strengthened in the factory buildings. A landmine was laid under the building, from which the opponents fired especially intensively, and with the beginning of the offensive they blew it up. March 26, under enemy fire, made a passage in a minefield, neutralizing 18 minutes, saved the life of an officer. By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 29, 1945, Sergeant Vitaly Alekseevich Maslukhin was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree for courage, bravery and heroism. He became the full holder of the Order of Glory.
In 1945 he was demobilized. He returned to his peaceful pre-war profession, began to bake bread again. For five years he worked as a bakery instructor, passed on his experience and knowledge to young people. Then he worked at a trading base. He lived in Vologda . He died on January 9, 1978. He was buried at the Poshekhonsky cemetery in Vologda .
He was awarded the Order of Glory of 3 degrees, medals.
