Biography
Born May 5, 1915 in the village of Rokotushka, Novospassky District, Ulyanovsk Region, in a peasant family. He graduated from grade 4. He worked as a tractor driver on a collective farm.
In the Red Army since February 1941. At the front in World War II from September 1941.
The gunner of the 76-millimeter battery of the 1054th rifle regiment, Red Army soldier Nikolai Soloviev, counting on the night of August 26, 1944 in the vicinity of the village of Albino, Cimisli region of Moldova, in a battle with the enemy who broke into the battery position, destroyed up to ten opponents, captured eight soldiers and fighters .
By order of the 301st Infantry Division of September 22, 1944, for his courage and bravery shown in battles, Red Army soldier Nikolay Petrovich Solovyov was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.
The gun calculation number of the 76 mm cannon of the 1054th Infantry Regiment, Sergeant Nikolai Solovyov, February 6, 1945, reflecting the enemy’s counterattack in the German city of Ortvig, knocked out the tank with the calculation soldiers, crushed three machine gun points and destroyed over a dozen and a half enemies. By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 15, 1946, for the exemplary performance of command assignments in battles with German-enemy invaders, Sergeant Solovyov Nikolai Petrovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree, becoming the full holder of the Order of Glory.
In 1945, Solovyov N.P. was demobilized. He lived in the village of Rokotushka, Novospassky district, Ulyanovsk region . He died in November 1992.
He was awarded the orders of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree, Glories of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd degree, medals.
