Biography
A graduate of the Petrograd University in 1917, in 1925 - graduated from the Leningrad Conservatory under the direction of M. O. Steinberg (in composition class). He studied with D. Shostakovich .
He worked at the Leningrad Radio Committee, and later at the Institute of Art History in Leningrad.
He was a member of the Association of Contemporary Music. Little remains of his heritage, scores burned during the war.
He died during the siege of Leningrad .
The name of the composer is stamped on a memorial plaque of the Union of Composers dedicated to members of the union who died during the blockade.
Granddaughter - composer Vladislav Malakhovskaya .
Creativity
He worked a lot, including for theater and radio, but his music is practically unknown to the modern listener. Author of sonatas, plays, romances, music for plays and films (" Sniper " (1931))
