Biography
Born on February 1, 1920 in the village of Taysugan, Almetyevsk district of Tatarstan. Tatar. He graduated from grade 4. He worked on a collective farm.
In the Red Army since March 1942. At the front in World War II from April 1942. He began his military career on the North-Western Front . He was repeatedly injured.
The gunner of the anti-aircraft machine gun company of the 54th Guards Tank Brigade of the Guard, Red Army soldier Salakhutdinov, August 20, 1944, in the area west of the city of Sandomierz, during the air raid, the Junkers-87 bomber shot down. During the reflection of the raid, he was wounded, but after dressing again returned to duty and continued to fire from a machine gun, reflecting the attacks of enemy aircraft.

On April 20, 1945, the 54th Guards Tank Brigade marched in the direction of the city of Dresden. Suddenly, a massive raid of enemy aircraft was carried out on a moving column of tanks of the brigade. Anti-aircraft guns opened fire on enemy bombers. Three planes were shot down, but one Focke-Wulf-190 broke through to the convoy. Guard corporal Salakhutdinov from a machine gun set it on fire.
On April 22, 1945, during the liberation of the village of Witshtok, he destroyed over ten infantrymen from a machine gun and, together with the calculation, captured many enemy soldiers.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 27, 1945, Corporal Salakhutdinov Garafutdin Salakhutdinovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree for courage, bravery and heroism of the guard.
In 1945, the foreman Salakhutdinov returned to his homeland. In 1947 he moved to the village of Uzgarysh. He worked on a collective farm.
He was awarded three Orders of Glory, medals.
He died on December 19, 1975. One of the streets in Tashkent and at home in the village of Taysuganovo of the Almetyevsk region of the Republic of Tatarstan was named after him.
