Biography

Born on April 27, 1925 in the village of Babichi, Chechersky District, Gomel Region, Belarus, into a peasant family. Byelorussian.

He graduated from 7 classes. In the Red Army and in the battles of the Great Patriotic War since October 1943. Member of the CPSU / CPSU since 1944. He fought with the enemy invaders on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Belorussian fronts. He distinguished himself in battles for the liberation of Belarus and in the defeat of the German-enemy grouping in East Prussia.

The shooter of the 457th regiment of the corporal Alexei Filipenko on the night of February 24, 1944 in the battle for the village of Bolshaya Konoplitsa of the Rogachev district of the Gomel region of Belarus was one of the first to burst into the enemy trench, destroyed the firing point and captured the Nazis with grenades.

March 1, 1944 during the seizure of height near the highway Verichev - Ozerany, north of the town of Rogachev, Gomel region , burst into a trench, destroyed the officer. Risking his life, he carried out a wounded commander from the neutral zone.

By order of the 129th Infantry Division of April 12, 1944, for the courage and bravery shown in the battles, the corporal Alexey F. Filipenko was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.

On June 28, 1944, corporal Alexey Filipenko, participating in the liquidation of the surrounded enemy near the village of Bukino, located seven kilometers north of the city of Bobruisk, Mogilyov Region, Belarus, destroyed more than a dozen opponents with a machine gun in battle.

By order of the 3rd Army of August 28, 1944, for the courage and bravery shown in battles, the corporal Aleksey Afanasyevich Filipenko was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.

The machine gunner of the 457th regiment of the corporal Alexei Filipenko from January 14 to February 25, 1945 in the battles in East Prussia repeatedly showed bravery, courage and courage.

Filipenko was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree, becoming a full holder of the Order of Glory.

In 1947, Junior Sergeant A. A. Filipenko was demobilized. He lived in the city of Kaliningrad - the regional center of the Kaliningrad region . He died on August 21, 1957. He was buried in the village of Babichi, Chechersky district of the Gomel region of Belarus.
