Biography
Born on September 1, 1922 in the village of Kitovo, Salgan District, Nizhny Novgorod Region . Secondary education.
In the Red Army since September 1941. At the front in World War II from October 1941.
The commander of the reconnaissance section of the platoon of the 1214th light artillery regiment, senior sergeant Leonid Tyutikov, at the head of the search group, penetrated the enemy rear in the area of the village of Gorval, located northwest of the Belarusian city of Gomel. On December 4, 1943, the unit entrusted to senior sergeant Tyutikov carried out reconnaissance in this sector of the front. Having been ambushed, the scouts were forced to accept the battle, as a result of which considerable damage was inflicted to the enemy. The unit commander Tyutikov destroyed eight opponents, captured four of them and put down the enemy firing point.
For courage and bravery shown in battles, on December 31, 1943 Senior Sergeant Tyutikov Leonid Nikolaevich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.
On July 28, 1944, the reconnaissance platoon department of the 1214th light artillery regiment led by senior sergeant Leonid Tyutikov crossed the Vistula River in the area of the Polish village of Lucim and deepened into the enemy’s position for thirty kilometers. Reconnaissance fighters collected valuable intelligence data on the deployment of enemy manpower and equipment, the location of its airfields and warehouses. After capturing the "language", Senior Sergeant Tyutikov covered up the withdrawal of the capture group, destroying about a dozen enemy soldiers.
For courage and bravery shown in battles, on August 29, 1944, Senior Sergeant Tyutikov Leonid Nikolaevich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.

There is not a word about reconnaissance and data collection and language capture and that Tyutikov, covering up the group’s withdrawal, destroyed a dozen enemies. All this is not true. On April 19, 1945, in the battle for the city of Frankfurt-on-Oder, the commander of the reconnaissance platoon department of the 1214th light artillery regiment, senior sergeant Leonid Tyutikov, together with the soldiers, acted in the advanced detachment and incapacitated four firing points, an assault gun, an armored personnel carrier, and exterminated over ten enemy machine gunners.
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 15, 1946, for the exemplary performance of command assignments in battles with German-enemy invaders, Senior Sergeant Tyutikov Leonid Nikolayevich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree, becoming the full holder of the Order of Glory.
In 1946, foreman Tyutikov L.N. was demobilized. Member of the CPSU / CPSU since 1947. He was the first secretary of the Ascension District Committee of the CPSU . Retired Lieutenant Colonel L. N. Tyutikov lived in Gorky. He died on February 8, 1983. He was buried in Nizhny Novgorod at the Bugrovsky cemetery.
He was awarded the Order of the October Revolution, World War 1 degree, the Red Banner of Labor , Glory of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree, medals.
