Ignacy Zavisha (ca. 1690 - August 16, 1738 ) - statesman and military leader of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania , great Lithuanian swordsman ( 1730 - 1734 ), great Lithuanian subcomomorium ( 1734 - 1736 ) and Marshalls of the Lithuanian outhouse ( 1736 - 1738 ), major general Lithuanian cavalry.

Biography
The representative of the noble family Zavishy of the coat of arms " Swan ". The only son of the governor of Smolensk Krzysztof Stanislav Zavishi ( 1660 - 1721 ) and Theresa Tyszkiewicz , daughter of Vladislav Tyshkevich (1644-1684), the Great Lithuanian Kravchiy, and Theodora Alexandra Sapega (1639-1678).
In 1717 his father sent him to study at the knight’s school in Dresden ( Saxony ). In his memoirs, Ignacy Zavisha left a lot of interesting information about how she studied at school. In addition to the theory and practice of fencing, riding, foreign languages, history, mechanics and geometry, students studied architecture, drawing and drawing . Military architecture was taught by Major Herr, civilian architecture by Captain Lebengolz. Drawing lessons gave court painter Jacob Apelshtaat. After completing the one-year course of study, Ignacy Zavish presented the school’s commandant , General Yakub Friedrich Flemming, with a hand-made drawing of Old and New Dresden.
After returning home, Ignacy Zavish served in the army of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania , where he received the rank of major general cavalry.
In 1730 he was elected ambassador ( deputy ) from the Minsk province to the Sejm . In the same year he received the position of swordsman of the great Lithuanian. In 1734, Ignacy Zavisha was appointed a great Lithuanian subcomomorium, and in 1736 he received the post of Lithuanian court marshal.
In 1732, he founded the Basilian monastery in the Small Lake, which was under his tutelage [2] .
He was married to Princess Marcibella Oginsky, daughter of the governor of Vilna, Prince Casimir Dominic Oginsky (died 1733 ), and Eleonora War (died 1738 ). Marriage was childless.
After the death in 1738 of the childless Ignacy Zavishi of his estate was inherited by his widow Marcibella [3] .
